We had our Community Yard Sale the same day as the Town-wide sale and had 6 families participate. The weather was fine, but the forecast had been bad the whole week so we didn't get a ton of traffic. Everyone was able to get rid of a few things, even if it was between neighbors. I know my son came home with a back pack, a load of nerf guns, and an inflatable boat.
Thank you to everyone for supporting the Pulsera Project Fair Trade organization from Guatemala! We raised over $150 from the neighborhood!
The plant swap was a success, and a good time. We met the "golf cart guy" who always has his shirt off as he drives around, and a few other new friends. The extra left over plants were left at the end of the road and most were taken! Anyone who is still interested in plants, join the facebook group "Chesapeake City Plant Swap" for more events, swaps, and info.
