This years annual Tower Point Home Owners Association Meeting will be at Maureen Rowan's house on August 5th 2010 at 7pm. Keep in mind that annual dues are due on or before the meeting, and must be paid in order to vote. See you there !

Get Out The Vote Rally

Cecil Countians for Obama along with the Cecil County Democrat Club, Friends of Sharon Weygand, and the Kratovil Campaign will be holding a Get Out The Vote Rally for all of the Democratic Candidates in Cecil County. The event will be held on Monday October 27th from 5-8 pm at Kilby Cream Farm in Rising Sun, MD. There will be live music from Mythica Music and The Wallis Brothers, Krazy George (the guy who invented "The Wave") will be there, and we'll have a hayride, bonfire (with smores!), corn maze, ice cream, baked goods, hot dogs, and hot chocolate. The event is free and all are welcome to have a fun evening for the whole family. We'll also be signing up volunteers for the Get Out The Vote effort the last few days before Election Day. Come help us Get Out The Vote!

YOGA

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you know in case you haven't heard already. A group of us go to a Yoga class on Thursday nights up at the Hacks Point Firehouse (Earleville). The class is from 6-7, and we usually leave around 5:30 or so to get there a little early and "calm down". It's a beginner's class so don't be afraid if you've never done it before! If you have, you should still come because you can still get a good workout!

Cecil Countians For Obama Headquarters

We had an opening at our office in Chesapeake City for the Cecil County for Obama group, and there was a pretty good group of about 35-40 people. One of the main goals of the event was to see who in our area was a supporter, and who would be willing to help out in voter registration, canvassing, phone banking..... for the upcoming election. Community Canoe

Here is something Lisa asked me to post for her:

"Our friend has a 17 foot plastic stable and wide canoe that she no longer wants. I thought it would be great to have it as a "community canoe" and to keep it down by the beach area off to the side for anyone that wants to use it. Since it's free, what the heck? The only problem is that we need to find someone who can transport it here. She lives on Corn Cake Row in Colora which is right up by Rising Sun. If anyone wants to volunteer to
move it, I'll ride along and we can go and get it! Our phone is

Tower Point's annual 4th of July celebration is coming up on Friday, with the parade at 11am starting on the corner of Gour and Tower Point Rd, followed by a cookout on the beach.
